Kim Brady is a transformative education leader committed to creating inclusive, trauma-informed learning environments where every student can succeed as their full, authentic self. As Deputy Principal of Novo Education Space — a Special Assistance School with campuses in Wollongong and Nowra which is reimagining education for young people in Years 9 to 12 — Kim supports students with complex needs, including neurodiversity, trauma histories, mental health challenges, and long-term disengagement from education.
Kim has led a whole-school shift from crisis response to student-centred learning, embedding mentoring, vertical streaming, and rigorous independent learning plan review cycles. She has implemented the Berry Street Education Model and co-designed Novo’s interdisciplinary “Big Ideas” curriculum, strengthening both culture and academic engagement. Her work has contributed to an 89% drop in critical incidents, a 248% increase in micro-credentials awarded, and an 81% rise in Year 12 completions.
A regular speaker at national conferences and a mentor to peers across sectors, Kim combines deep moral purpose with strategic systems thinking. Her leadership is not only restoring students’ belief in education — it is reshaping how schools can support every learner to thrive.
