iHelp

Condell Park Public School, NSW

Our Year 5 and 6 students spent 2015 working on a project to support sick and injured children in hospital who miss out on vital school time. Now you can support our students as they raise funds to showcase their project in the international finals of the Future Problem Solving Program (FPSP) in the United States in 2016.

Condell Park Public School, in Sydney’s south-west, is thrilled at the success of its iHELP project at the national championships of the FPSP in October. Through this project, our senior students looked beyond their own needs and circumstances to recognise others who require support in the community – in this case, children at the local Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital. Valuing the impact that technology has on their education, our students raised funds to buy iPads for the Hospital School to make learning easier for sick children confined to their beds.

The iHELP project team has been invited to participate in the international finals of the FPSP in Michigan in June. Your generous support will help pay the costs involved in taking 6 students and their teachers to compete. To initiate a project that benefits others and then to win the right to present it at an international forum is a great accomplishment. Through iHELP, the Year 5 and 6 students have learnt to think beyond themselves – they now know that through hard work, collaboration and persistence, anything is possible!

Help support the school to participate in the international finals. We genuinely appreciate your donation in supporting our students to be truly global citizens.
