Help our Student Entrepreneurs Compete at the National iAwards

Murray Bridge High School, SA

Murray Bridge High is excited to announce that four of our students have won the opportunity to compete at the National iAwards (Melbourne). Our young entrepreneurs need your generous support to showcase their innovative and award-winning new app, called ‘Emergency Kid’.

We are calling on our generous community for donations of any amount to help us urgently raise $6,000 by 02 August 2019. Will you help our students today?

Your donation will go towards:

  • Flights, accommodation and meals for four students and two teachers
  • iAwards Gala Dinner tickets and related activities
  • Teacher relief cover for 2 staff members

About the students and ‘Emergency Kid’

We are proud of our four Year 9 students who have worked hard in a weekly after-school club engaging in Digital Technologies. The club facilitated the exploration of app-based technology and is where the award-winning app was born. ‘Emergency Kid’ is an app designed to help children from ages 8-11 in emergency situations. The app was entered into the South Australian AIIA (Australian Information Industry Association) iAwards and won the ‘Junior Student’ category.

With their win at the state awards, the students have now set their sights on the National iAwards in Melbourne. Travelling with two support teachers, the students will compete against other state winners for the National Junior iAward. While in Melbourne, the students will also take part in a pitching and innovation workshop to further develop their skills and ideas.

Your generous donation will reward our students for their hard work and encourage their young entrepreneurial minds. Thank you for supporting Murray Bridge High!

Note: All donations over $2, made via the link, are tax-deductible.
