WA maths teacher named among top 50 teachers in the world

National education charity Schools Plus is thrilled to announce that one of its 2019 Commonwealth Bank Teaching Award recipients, Western Australian maths teacher Ashley Stewart, has been named as a Top 50 finalist for this year’s highly coveted US$1 million Global Teacher Prize.

The Ross Trust makes Fair Education Victoria a reality

In 2018, due to the early success of the Fair Education NSW program (started in 2015), Schools Plus sought funding to trial a similar program in Victoria. The result was a three-year grant from The Ross Trust – a perpetual charitable trust with a vision to create positive social and environmental change so Victorians can thrive.

One of the ways Schools Plus connects donors and schools in need is through our Smart Giving program. Drawing on the advice of independent education experts and our own knowledge and experience, we identify schools seeking philanthropic support to roll out strategic initiatives that will tackle the greatest challenges facing their students and staff.
