The Schools Plus team is excited to reveal our new-look website and logo.
Our updated website, which goes live today, has been revamped so it’s easier to support disadvantaged schools and their students. This includes our new crowdfunding tool for schools – Fundraise Yourself – plus a new home for Smart Giving projects and information about our new Fair Education program.
The Fundraise Yourself platform makes it easier for schools to raise funds from their communities for vital activities that will broaden opportunities for their students. It’s free and simple for schools and P&Cs to use.
By registering online, schools create their own fundraising page on our Support School Projects page. Then, using their own newsletters, social media, emails and word of mouth, they promote their project to their community asking for support. When supporters donate to the project via our website, they are sent a receipt so they can claim a tax deduction.
You can find more information about this new fundraising approach on our Fundraise Yourself page. Or explore the projects for which schools are raising funds on our Support School Projects page.
As part of the website revamp, you will also now find all of our Smart Giving projects on the Support School Projects page. Smart Giving projects are selected using expert advice – we recommend them to donors who want to ensure their donations have the highest impact. They’re easily identified by looking for the projects marked with on their photo.
Today also marks the introduction of our new logo, part of a minor brand refresh designed to better reflect our strong advocacy for disadvantaged schools and the role philanthropy can play in supporting them. To signify this, we’ve made our name bolder, introduced a new easy-to-read font, and simplified our colour palette and the plus sign in our logo, while retaining the brightness that has come to symbolise Schools Plus.
We’d like to thank the teams at Webgirl Consulting and Open Digital and the branding agency Born & Raised for their assistance developing our new-look website and brand.
But we know our actions speak louder than any logo or website can. So you will continue to see us working hard to connect donors with schools across Australia to support the students who need it the most.
