At Schools Plus, we’re starting the school year by launching our Smart Giving Pilot – an initiative to identify a range of school projects to promote to donors.
We’re seeking applications from schools with projects that will greatly improve student outcomes. The types of projects we’d love to see include those that will help students become more engaged and ready to learn, parents and the community to become more involved or teachers to become more effective. Many donors are also interested in supporting projects that show innovation in STEM education.
After an assessment process, we will post the selected projects on our website in the Smart Giving Showcase and encourage donors to make an online donation to them. We’ll also promote the projects to donors in person and through our philanthropic networks. The aim is to turn the project plans into reality by raising full financial support for them, and to better inform donors who are passionate about education about the true needs of schools.
If you have a project that you’d like us to promote to donors who care about students facing disadvantage, you can find out more information on our Apply for Smart Giving page.
Schools need to have an ICSEA value of below 1000 to apply.
