Our 2017 Annual Review is here and we’re really excited to share it.
Through the generous support of our donors, we were able to fund 125 projects and benefit more than 30,000 students across Australia in FY17! The Annual Review highlights just a few of the schools we’ve been able to support, like Gnowangerup District High School in rural Western Australia. When the school wanted to buy a Farmbot (a robot that students can program to help with farm production), it used our crowdfunding platform Fundraise Yourself to reach out to its community.
Another example is Mount Ommaney Special School in Brisbane – with the support of the Camp Australia Foundation, this school taught families strategies to improve their children’s communication. One parent said: “This program has been life changing – it is giving my child and our family a much-needed improvement in our quality of life”.
The Review also reflects on the first year of the Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards and the Pioneers in Philanthropy. As our CEO Rosemary Conn says, we are delighted so many people and organisations share our vision that ‘all Australian children deserve a great education’.
